A child went to Bal Ganesh (the child form of the Lord Ganesha) and asked him,
“How did you land up with an elephant head? Was something wrong with your previous face?”
Bal Ganesh replied-
“Not at all! That’s a special gift given to me by my father! My previous head was filled with arrogance, ego and I thought of myself as the most powerful person in the universe. To get rid of that poison my father did a head transplant and since that day I have been very happy as it allowed me to come closer to my family and the entire world.”
The Child – “Didn’t that surgery cause you pain?
Bal Ganesh – “Yes! I suffered extreme pain for some time, but bearing that pain paid off. See, today the entire world welcomes me every year with love.”
Lord Ganesha in his 10-day visit with his elephant head conveys us that even Gods and their children had to go through pain to bring positive change and in comparison, to the Lord Ganesha we are just normal humans.
